The configuration is copied on many websites and blogs (eg of you here) Only served if we will use prestashop in Spain. If we want to expand our business to other countries, this configuration does not work. As you activéis the "Europe" zone, and let us say something 18 €, all shipments within Spain will be worth 18 € instead of free which is how we want (for example). Prestashop to calculate shipping fee look at the area of the country, not part of the state / province. I do not understand why the provinces have given the possibility to assign a zone. Right now I'm involved with this issue and the truth is that Prestashop with this issue leaves much to be desired and that I have already mounted several shops.
If I find a solution to avoid having to create several countries "Spain" (Spain 1 Spain 2, ...) I'll put you on the blog.
I have found seems a small solution Chapucilla although I believe that Prestashop should be simpler in my opinion, but hey here I leave:
I've solved by creating two tickets to the Post. One that is "International Post" for Islands and other countries, and other "Correos - Spain" to Peninsula and Ceuta and Melilla. Thus, with its own range of price and weight, and ignores correctly to the area of Europe. A little convoluted in my opinion and something that should improve Prestashop. I have not tried the new version 1.5.6 which have included improvements on this, but old is quite confusing.
